I wish I'd found more first hand accounts about corneal scars those first few months when I was so desperate for information. Obviously everyone's experience will be different, but I'd like to share mine.
It's been roughly 9 months since my ordeal. I suspect my healing was slowed down somewhat because I was so distraught and under all kinds of stress.
The light sensitivity was terrible at first. Gradually, it subsided. I was recently able to drive on a bright, sunny day without sunglasses. I don't need to think about where I sit in restaurants anymore; facing the window isn't the end of the world.
My vision is still blurry but less so. The blurriness may be from my steroid drops (it makes sense that it would improve as my dosage decreased).
The "fog" is still there. At first, my vision was incredibly hazy. It was devastating. It isn't as bad anymore. Though it's still there, I really only notice it when I'm tired. I guess I'm getting used to it so am learning to ignore it. I never thought I'd be able to do that.
