"We have been quite impressed with the reduction in corneal haze in approximately 45 patients who were treated at The Wilmer Institute for superficial corneal scars leading to reduction in best corrected visual acuity. The mean visual acuity in these patients has improved from 20/100 - to 20/40, and 80% of the patients treated have had enough improvement in visual acuity that penetrating keratoplasty is no longer indicated."
