"Using Excimer Laser PRK—Not PTK—for Corneal Scars: Straight to 20/20 Vision"

I've come across an article by Dr. Arun Gulani published in September/October 2012.  Click here to read it.
I believe that soon, corneal transplants for anterior corneal scars will be discussed only as backup surgery or what it was always destined to be . . . a last resort.

  1. I hope they perform this procedure at Bascom Palmer in Miami. Its only been 4 months since my scarring incident occurred, and the glare is the worst part.

  2. I can only speak from my own experience, but the glare did improve for me even 6 months after the scarring. I think I also learned to pay less attention to it over time. Good luck with your eye, Juan!
